So, after promising myself one for years, there is finally a Lattin & Gillette "Redhead" streamliner on the way from Ugo Fadini.

However, this particular model has a few things in store for it, involving a fair bit of tripping around the United States before it finally reaches me, ensuring it will be considerably more special than it already is...

... and a huge thanks to Ugo for helping me with this!

I bought the most fantastic book the other day, "Cosmic Motors" by Daniel Simon.

Over 300 of the most amazing sketchs and digital artwork I have ever seen! All stuff straight out of my teenage car designer dreams. Best of all, there are rumours of scale models in the wind....

Very highly recommended!

Anyone would think my favorite coloured Ferrari is blue... (it is not, by the way, my favorite on a Ferrari is actually burgandy)

Two blue Ferraris arrived from MiniWerks today, a Make Up Co Eidolon series 1 Testarossa and a Tecnomodel 430 Scuderia.

And another McLaren F1 from AutoBarn for my tiny collection of them, this time in a colour called "Brazilian Brown Metallic". It actually looks more like a lilac colour than brown, but either way, it looks very smart.

Fantastic! After a long wait - and a lot of sleepless nights for poor Laurent Tay, my 1:43 "ex Patrick Mimran" Countach 5000 QV has finally been completed.

who I am...

I am nobody special, living in a little place at the bottom of the World, called New Zealand. I lurk on various forums, usually under the guise of "Jono" or "GTAV6".

I also trade a little on eBay as "the.x.man", which happens to be my web design moniker, as well.

the latest noteworthy acquisition...

Nieuport Ni17 "Baracca"

1916 Nieuport Ni17 as flown by the World War 1 Italian ace, Count Francesco Baracca.

Built to an incredible standard (and photographed), by Bill Model Company, from a 1:48 scale Eduard kit.
