Originally built in 1971, this M8E was bought by Kaye Griffiths in 1973, who updated the bodywork to the M8D "Batmobile" style.
In 1974, Griffiths was sponsored by John Bonham, the drummer for Led Zeppelin.
The McLaren has retained it's strikingly unique paintjob and is still a frequent attraction at the Monterey Historic Races.
